In 2022, at the VINACAS Congress for 2021-2026, the president of HANFIMEX – Mr. Phung Van Sam was honored to become a member of the Vietnam Cashew Association (VINACAS). This position is an honor and a motivation for us to strive and contribute more in bringing Vietnamese brands to international consumers.
Understanding that solidarity is the key to development, HANFIMEX actively participates in the activities of Vietnam Cashew Associations, constantly striving for impressive growth despite difficulties from the pandemic.
“When it comes to cashews, think about Vietnam”.
According to Vinacas, the country exported about 609,260 tonnes of cashew kernels in 2021, earning total revenue of nearly 3.75 billion USD, an increase of 16.81% compared to 2020, although the average export price decreased by about 1,69%. Most of the cashew kernels were officially exported by sea to more than 100 markets around the world. Vietnam imported over 3.14 million tons of raw cashew nuts in 2021.
With these results, Vietnam continued to maintain its leading position in the world in terms of cashew kernel exports, accounting for 80% of the world’s total exports. Vietnamese cashew nuts currently account for about 90% of the market share in the US and China, 80% in the Netherlands, and 60% in Germany.
HANFIMEX is proud to contribute to that success and sets a goal of sustainable growth for 2022 by actively participating in the Vietnam Cashew Association.
